Inauguration Week is almost here, Dustdevils! 🎉
From Sept. 14 - 18, we are celebrating Dr. Maynard’s formal installation as TAMIU’s seventh president with several events, including a TAMIU-themed Kickoff Ceremony, the ribbon-cutting of our Clinical Health Sciences Center and our WHTC expansion, a student film screening, a talk with acclaimed filmmaker Alfonso Gómez-Rejón, and more!
The Investiture Ceremony will take place Friday, Sept. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts.

TAMIU Office of Global & Community Engagement (GCE) welcomed Dr. Berhanemeskal Tena, President of Madda Walabu University (Ethiopia), and Dr. Tadios Belay of the U.S.-Africa Institute to campus for a day of strategic discussions and relationship building.

Hosted through GCE, the visit included meetings with university leadership, academic deans, student leaders, and international engagement representatives to explore opportunities for academic collaboration, research partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, Fulbright engagement, and the development of an East Africa Network.

The visit reflects TAMIU's commitment to building meaningful global partnerships that create opportunities for students, faculty, and communities across continents.
