Giving Tuesday is coming up! Nov. 28, 2017. This is a great opportunity to give back to the English Department and NMSU.

We especially encourage donations to the the Sara Olivares Memorial Fund. Honoring a much-loved and much-respected undergraduate student, this fund provides assistance to English majors who need help purchasing books or other course materials.

On behalf of Nate Wilkerson.

Hey Everybody,

NMSU's literary magazine Puerto del Sol is currently in the midst of a heated Final Four battle with Westbranch magazine from Bucknell University.

As it stands right now, we are losing. But I believe we can change that with enough help from our department. If Puerto were to win, it would be a glorious victory for our journal, our department, our university and our struggling nation.

If you have a Twitter account and don't mind donating 30 seconds, you can visit our journal's page (https://twitter.com/puertomag) and give us a quick vote!

Thank you all!
