Mark your calendars!

🇵🇭 Join us in celebrating Filipino American History Month on October 22 at 11 a.m. at NMSU's Taos Restaurant!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we had a pretty fitting reason to bring out something new!

Students and faculty got a first look at a new interactive breast health inflatable as they blew it up and tested it out for the first time. And of course, once it was up, we had to take a look inside!

The inflatable provides an up-close look at breast anatomy and will be used as an educational tool to support breast health and cancer awareness.

This new resource is part of a partnership with the Partnership for the Advancement of Cancer Research and is being led by Dr. Merranda Marin from Human Development and Family Studies.

A pretty memorable way to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month—and definitely not something you see outside our building every day!

🎉 Congratulations to Human Nutrition and Dietetics students Mia Badillo and Abigail Garcia-Serrano on being selected for the Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) Fellowship Program for Public Health Practice!

Through this 12-week fellowship, Mia and Abigail will gain hands-on experience in public health practice while building their skills in areas such as nutrition, health promotion, program planning, evaluation, and chronic disease prevention.

We are so excited to celebrate this accomplishment and see where this experience takes them! 👏

Lights, Camera, Aggies! 🎬

FCS students—we’re putting together our team for the 2026 NMSU Homecoming Float, and we need your creativity!

Last year, FCS brought home FIRST PLACE 🏆, so naturally there is absolutely no pressure this year 😂

Whether you can design, build, sew, decorate, craft, paint, style—or you’re just really good at turning random supplies into something that somehow works—we want you on the team.

No experience needed. Just bring your ideas and your Aggie spirit!
⭐ Interested? Scan the QR code on the flyer to join the FCS Homecoming Float Team!

And yes... we will once again attempt the annual FCS miracle of turning cardboard, hot glue, and pure determination into a first-place float 😎
