NEED EXTRA MONEY FOR THE HOLIDAYS?

I decided to run a contest for those who can register the most people in the next 7 days! Contest begins today, Sunday, December 14, ends at 11:59 PM on December 20, 2025. 1st place $250, 2nd place $150 and 3rd place $50. You must have a minimum of 10 VERIFIED people appear on the NM Secretary of States list. Read below on how to enter this contest and win. Thanks!!

Hello Everyone,

I need a HUGE FAVOR. Could you to copy and paste this message to 40 people who you personally know in New Mexico.
Why 40? Because half may not be registered to vote and half of those who are, may not be Democrats, leaving me with 10 people.
If 150 volunteers did this, I would make the necessary signatures to get on the ballot for Governor. So here goes:

Hello (Person’s name)

This is (Your name ) how are you, I hope my text finds you well. I am needing a favor from you. I am helping a candidate who is running for Governor of New Mexico, his name is Ken Gallegos Miyagishima.
Here is his website in case you want to read about his policies.
kenfornewmexico.com

He needs about 1500 signatures to get onto the ballot from Registered Democrats in New Mexico.

Signing his petition doesn’t mean you have to vote for him, it just allows him to get onto the ballot. It only takes about 35 seconds, using the this special link provided below.

You do have to be a registered Democrat, if not it won’t work😎

Take care,
(Your name)

Dear friends,

This is Ken, and I’m reaching out to you as a candidate for Governor of New Mexico. I find myself in urgent need of your support to gather 5,000+ signatures to qualify for the ballot in 2026.

I am committed to ending the “Catch & Release” policy, ensuring our talented doctors stay in our state, addressing homelessness with dignity, and making homeownership a reality for all New Mexicans.

I can’t do this without your help. Please consider signing our petition to help me secure a place on the ballot for 2026. Your support means everything to me and to the future of our great state.

Thank you for your support!!

New Mexico proudly stands as one of the nation’s leading oil and gas producers, and we are truly fortunate to have this vital industry thriving in our state.

The oil and gas sector plays a crucial role in funding our schools, supporting essential public services, and creating thousands of good-paying jobs that benefit our communities.

I want to be clear: my aim is not to shut down any oil and gas operations. Instead, I believe that with our strong leadership in this industry comes a shared responsibility.

As we embrace this vital role, we must also acknowledge and address the challenges we face—such as methane emissions, water scarcity, land management, and the need for long-term economic stability.

By planning for sustainability today, we can pave the way for a promising and stable future.

We need to adopt a smarter approach to energy development—one that balances economic growth with long-term resilience. This includes:

- Implementing effective methane monitoring and enforcement
- Establishing robust cleanup and reclamation standards
- Managing water withdrawals thoughtfully in our arid regions
- Investing in research and development for carbon capture and clean technologies

We also have a unique opportunity to utilize today’s oil and gas revenues to build a sustainable energy future:

- Expanding renewable energy infrastructure throughout the state
- Funding job training programs for workers in fossil fuel-dependent communities
- Supporting Tribal energy sovereignty and empowering local decision-making

It’s essential that we ensure impacted communities—especially those near oil and gas operations—have access to:

- Real-time air and water quality monitoring
- Transparent data regarding inspections and enforcement
- A voice in decisions affecting their land and environment

This conversation isn’t about ending the oil and gas industry; it’s about forging a path forward that prioritizes the health of our people, the integrity of our land, and the prosperity of our future.

New Mexico has the potential to lead the nation—not just in energy production, but also in energy integrity. Together, let’s make this vision a reality.

Federal cuts to education funding are on the table again—and New Mexico’s public schools could be among the hardest hit. That’s not just bad policy. It’s an attack on the future of our children, our communities, and our cultures.

Right now, federal dollars help support:
School nutrition programs

Special education services

Rural broadband and tech access

Teacher development and retention

If those funds vanish, the impact won’t be evenly felt. It’ll fall hardest on rural, border, and Tribal schools—places where every dollar already stretches to the edge. Over 70% of New Mexico’s public school students are Latino, Indigenous, or from working-class communities. Public schools are one of the last public goods still reaching these kids with some measure of care, stability, and opportunity.

So what do we do?
We build something better—on our own terms.

We demand:
Full state-level investment in public education

Legal protections for education funding (so it can’t be clawed back)

Tribal education sovereignty, including support for language and cultural curriculum

Real support for teachers and school workers—not just lip service

And we get creative:
Establish a state education trust fund

Strengthen local school bonds and progressive revenue

Create community-driven education hubs that meet local needs directly

New Mexico can lead the country in building a public education model that doesn’t depend on unstable DC budgets. One that’s rooted in equity, culture, and care.

One that treats schools not as political footballs—but as sacred ground.
Let’s not wait for permission.

Let’s protect what’s ours and invest in our kids with the urgency this moment demands.
