Thank you to all those who applied for the scholarship and a huge congratulations to Marcos Marmolejo for being selected as the scholarship recipient! 🔥

Marcos was an exceptional candidate for the scholarship and shined among others. It was overly impressive how as a first year student at NMSU Marcos was already qualified to be a third year credits wise. Majoring in Biology and having a GPA of 3.97 exemplifies hard work and dedication to his collegiate life. Being a first generation student, his work ethic, and his high ambitions in life impressed the entirety of our chapter as a whole! Once again, congratulations Marcos! 🎉🇺🇦

“Transferring to NMSU as a sophomore from Arizona was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Going into NMSU knowing no one I decided to join greek life and became a Delta Gamma! At the time, we were homecoming dates with Sigma Chi and we were constantly hanging out with them. The men of Sigma Chi were so welcoming and before I knew it, I found some of my closest friends and in some ways, the brothers I never had through Sigma Chi. Becoming the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi was such a memorable moment that I will cherish forever. I have been so blessed to meet so many men from Sigma Chi and even some awesome sweethearts whose friendship I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to Sigma Chi for their friendship and endless support throughout my time here at NMSU. After graduation I will be continuing my education at NMSU by studying to obtain a Masters in Agriculture with specialization in Agribusiness.”
