New patent to Dr. Arterburn!

Jeffrey Arterburn from NMSU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry recently secured a patent for novel compounds designed to more precisely target estrogen receptors associated with cancer.

The project focuses on developing drug compounds that target specific receptors while reducing unwanted effects on other parts of the body.

This research is being advanced through collaboration between researchers at New Mexico State University and the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center to further evaluate the compounds’ potential for future cancer therapies.
