The National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH) has launched the first national AI effort built exclusively for public university systems.

Enrico Pontelli, dean of New Mexico State University’s College of Arts and Sciences and NMSU senior adviser for AI, is among 35 leaders from public higher education systems, campuses and the broader AI field selected to serve on this board.

The National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH) has launched the first national AI effort built exclusively for public university systems.

A special reception is underway at Branson Library at New Mexico State University. For the first time in its five-year history at New Mexico State University, the Clothesline Project will on display throughout October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. At a special reception, various speakers talked about the program that including Angie Rodriguez-Navarrette, coordinator for the Victim Assistance Unit at the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office. The display will be open from 8 am to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the month of October.

"Expanding the exhibit to an entire month allows more members of our campus community the opportunity to engage with survivors' experiences, reflect on the impact of interpersonal violence and participate in conversations that might otherwise never take place," said Ahram Cho, criminal justice professor who spearheaded bringing the national project to NMSU.

The first Aggie Experience event of 2026-2027 will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. The event is free.

For the first time in its five-year history at NMSU, the Clothesline Project will remain on display throughout October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

New Mexico State University’s College of Business will celebrate accomplished alumni, valued corporate partners and community leaders whose careers and contributions have made a lasting impact at the 2026 Hall of Fame banquet. 👏

The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave. This year’s Hall of Fame honorees are Leslie Moorhead Cervantes ’86, O. Dino Cervantes ’85 and Jim P. Snee ’89. The College of Business will also present the Corporate Traders’ Award to New Mexico Mutual.
