Come hang out with Engineers Without Borders UNLV for our first general meeting of the semester. We are kicking things off with food, good vibes, and big decisions.
We will share quick updates on the projects we are officially wrapping up, then we will start choosing our next project, the one we plan to travel to. If you have ever wanted to be part of something meaningful (and actually get to see it in the real world), this is the meeting to come to.
We are also excited to welcome our guest speaker Ed Miller, PE. Ed recently relocated to Las Vegas and has years of experience with Engineers Without Borders. He previously mentored the EWB student chapter at the University of Maryland, supported student design teams, served as an ICP, and participated in implementation trips in Ethiopia, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, and Peru. He will share what makes a strong new project and what to consider as we start our project selection process.
