UNLV College of Education Student Services Center Welcome to the UNLV College of Education Advising & Field Placement Center! We are here to help you achieve academic success at UNLV.

Our office provides academic advising for undergraduate and second baccalaureate students in the College of Education. We provide academic advising and coordinate field placement for undergraduate, second baccalaureate, Alternate Route to Licensure, Troops to Teachers, and Teach for America students. Our goal is to help you become the best Rebel teacher that you can be!

The UNLV GEAR UP team is looking to hire peer mentors for the Fall 2018 - Spring 2019 academic year. Mentors will be paired with 3-5 first year GEAR UP students. Mentors are encouraged to help first year students navigate campus life, identify potential challenges, explore interpersonal development traits, develop soft skills, and support education aspirations.

Stipends are provided to mentors that are hired.

It's not too often that NV State Treasurer Dan Schwartz, NV System of Higher Education Chancellor Thom Reilly and the Guinn family all come out together to honor a student. Congrats to our recent graduate Hannah for receiving the Kenny C. Guinn Memorial Millennium Scholarship! What a HUGE accomplishment!

We are excited to see her and the rest of our 2018 graduates get out there and start making differences here in CCSD and around the country!

UNLVolunteers are getting together this Thursday 10/19 from 8am -11am to prepare and clean books at Spread the Word Nevada. Spread the Word Nevada is an organization dedicated to providing books and advancing childhood literacy in low-income communities.

If you are interested, please sign up using the website listed on the flyer. This opportunity is open to all UNLV students. They will be meeting in front of the SU at 8am and traveling to Spread the Word Nevada together. The event ends at 11am and if a student needs a ride back to campus, they will be be back on campus around 11:30am.
