Congratulations to the team of John Marshall and Graham Revare on finishing as the runners up at the 2025 National Debate Tournament! John and Graham lost a close 3-2 decision to Binghamton University after a phenomenal tournament were they were the #1 seed and Graham received the Ross K. Smith Top Speaker Award!

KU MR also received the Rex Copeland award for being ranked the top team in the country in First Round At Large bid rankings! They were unanimously ranked as #1 across all 12 voters, following a regular season that included three major tournament wins, one round robin win, two second place finishes, and six top speaker awards between the two.

The KU teams of Larson/Schultz and Harris/Wilkus also cleared as the 3rd and 17th seeds, respectively, marking the 4th year in program history that all three KU teams cleared at the NDT. HW finished as double-octofinalists while LS concluded their tournament in the octos.
