With the return of the chapter to campus, we have also been greeted with a couple of urgent projects to the chapter house.

Storms in July have hastened the replacement of the roof of the chapter house, and two of the AC condensers need to be replaced ASAP. These projects will likely total more than $135k; obviously more than our operations budget can handle.

There’s no other way to say it, but we could really use your support now so that we can get this work completed in order to provide safe living quarters for our newest members. We have launched KansasDU.causevox.com to help more quickly drive contributions. Donations made through the “donate” button will support the Alumni Corporation (non-tax-deductible) gifts. If you prefer to support the Kansas DU Education Foundation (tax deductible, but only 50% of these projects can be paid for with Foundation funds), there are instructions to contact Paul Hanna ’90. Today marks the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Kansas Chapter of Delta Upsilon.

Through the influence of Professor Goldwin Goldsmith, head of the KU Department of Architecture, a local fraternity known as the Kanza Club was granted a charter to become the Kansas Chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity on January 10, 1920.

Just as the installation of the Chapter was held in April of 1920, we hope that you will join our centennial celebration and Distinguished Alumni Banquet on April 18, 2020 at the Adams Alumni Center!
