KU Kappa Alpha Theta Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Kansas! Theta means so much to us here, and we're glad you stopped by to learn more about it.

Founded in 1870, Kappa Alpha Theta holds the proud position of being the first ever Greek letter fraternity known among women. The sisters here at the Kappa chapter continue to carry on the traditions and uphold the values that our founders deemed important 141 years ago. We strive for the highest scholarship and the widest influence for betterment throughout the community. The Kappa Chapter Theta

s are involved in countless activities not only within our chapter, but also within the University and the community. This summer, Thetas from 3 different pledge classes - 1983, 1990, and 1992 - had the opportunity to make their way back to 1433 Tennessee for special sleepovers at the Theta house! These overnights were auction items from last fall’s reunion. These women had a chance to visit before we begin renovating the upstairs rooms next summer, making these visits even more meaningful. We are grateful for the lifelong friendships that Theta continues to celebrate. 💛🖤

Phase 1 is already underway, including critical updates to our HVAC, electrical, and fire systems, and the creation of new and improved bathrooms.
