The 2019 AAPG Mid-Continent Section Meeting is happening October 5-8 in Wichita, KS. Registration is free for students and this includes the opportunity to attend various short courses. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and network with other students and professionals. Follow this link to register.

THERE ARE STILL SPOTS OPEN at the Rocky Mountain Rendezvous Sept. 15-17 in Laramie. The fee is $35 for AAPG members.

The next Rocky Mountain Rendezvous will take place Sunday, September 15 – Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

Two members of the AAPG Student Chapter traveled to Lincoln, NE to attend the Fourth Biennial Field Conference of the AAPG Mid-Continent Section. Accompanied by Emeritus Professor Dr. Paul Enos, the conference title covered Carboniferous cyclothems of North America. The group had the opportunity to take a close look at the Indian Cave Sandstone in eastern/south eastern Nebraska. They also saw a first time screening of the motion picture "Rock Stars: Women in Petroleum Geology, introduced by keynote speaker Robbie Gries. The meeting concluded by a sponsored AAPG UNL Student Chapter breakfast and a core workshop.
