🔴 HB 2008-Providing for the attorney general to coordinate training for law enforcement agencies on missing and murdered indigenous people.

I want to thank Representative Ponka-We Victors and several Indigenous members of District 10 who provided testimony in support of MMIP. Thank you: William Wilkinson, AJ Holder, and McKenna White. We also received support from the Attorney General, Praiaire Band Potawatomi, Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, KBI, and more!

KBI commented on my testimony that they have on record, 5 Indigenous peoples missing instead of the 3 I found on namus.gov. This emphasizes the lack of consistent data collection and our abilities to advocate as a regular citizen.
