U-CHaMP is designed to inspire and prepare future healthcare professionals to practice in rural Kansas. Throughout the year, Scholars participate in educational programming focused on the healthcare needs of rural and underserved communities, along with student success activities. Nine of this year's Scholars are from rural communities. In addition to the Scholars, more than 100 U-CHaMP Ambassadors are exploring health professions while learning about rural healthcare needs and opportunities in Kansas.
