Last week, three of our APhA-ASP members proudly represented our chapter at the annual APhA Institute on Substance Use Disorders in Salt Lake City! Through educational sessions, networking, and discussions with leaders in the field, they expanded their knowledge of SUD and the pharmacist’s role in supporting patients. We’re excited to see them bring what they learned back to our chapter and continue making an impact!

This past weekend KU APhA-ASP headed to Los Angeles for APhA-ASP annual conference! This weekend was a jam pack weekend filled with awards and achievements: Paige Holopirek awarded the APhA-ASP Student Leadership Award and standing on National Communications Committee , Emily Scott representing as National Member-at-Large, our chapter recognized as Division A Second Runner-up Chapter Achievement Award and and student pharmacists connecting together over the passion of pharmacy!

We are very grateful to be a part of an organization that strives for student pharmacists to thrive in this profession, until next year APhA-ASP annual!

And that’s a wrap of February events surrounded by Operation Heart this year! This month we organized “Wear red day” on national red day, organized a health screening at advocacy day, and recently volunteered at Merc for a free health screening to our Lawrence community! This all couldn’t be done without our APhA-ASP student pharmacists ♥️
