Our next Alumni Awards spotlight honors Dr. Michelle Kwok ’22, recipient of the Performing Arts Merit Award.

Dr. Michelle Kwok is a conductor, singer and music educator from Hong Kong, currently based in Virginia. She currently serves as the artistic director of the Williamsburg Choral Guild and as a visiting assistant teaching professor at The College of William & Mary. In her time at Rider, she was an assistant conductor of the Westminster Schola Cantorum & Chapel Choir.

Our next Alumni Awards spotlight honors Scott Ruskan ’21, recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award.

Scott Ruskan made international news last year when he rescued 165 people from deadly flood waters that ravaged central Texas. It was his first official mission as a U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer. For his efforts, Ruskan has been praised as an “American hero” by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and received a number of awards, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Legion of Merit and a Mighty 25 award.
