This weeks why I went Wednesday is Ally. She is a Sophomore Marketing major with a concentration in Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals. She also has a double major in Spanish, and two minors (Event Planning & Production and Chemistry). "Life is a journey, and I never expected to be wearing these letters. I never once saw myself going Greek until it happened. I signed up for formal recruitment and looking back on it I am so happy that I did. I was able to find a home away from home where I can be my genuine self. I have been blessed with knowing these strong independent women. My favorite memory has to be getting my position as the Membership Recruitment Chair and being able to welcome a new group of women in to our house this past bid day. I admired all the work and power this position has. I get to help new members of our house fall in love with their letters the way I was able to fall in love with mine"

Another Wednesday means another why we went Wednesday. This week we're highlighting jean who is a junior double major in criminal justice and political science. ”When I first came to Rider I didn’t think Greek life was for me & I was afraid to go out of my comfort zone. My friends inspired me to join Greek life to go out & meet new people that they had the opportunity to get to know because of their own experiences. This inspired me to go through the process & I have grown so much since. The road was tough at first but once I saw how kind, supportive, & down to earth all of the girls where I knew Phi Sig was my home. It is my home away from home that allows me to be myself & I have made amazing memories that I will always cherish. The bonds I have with my sisters will last a lifetime & I know that we are always there for each other because of our strong values that we share. Phi Sig has helped me grow as a leader & I hope to continue to make a difference in this chapter during my time at Rider. I can’t wait to see what the future holds & I look forward to making more memories with my sisters.”
