Nursing Services students put their anatomy knowledge to the test with a little hands-on guessing game! Students worked in teams to draw where they thought the vital organs and major bones were located on a classmate wearing a full-body suit.

Measure twice, cut once! 🪚

Mr. Biggs' Construction Trades students finished up saw safety and got to start on some projects in the shop. Measuring, cutting, sanding, and painting are the entry-level skills that will help these students master more advanced construction techniques and take on bigger projects throughout the year.

📣 Just 10 days until the start of OSHA 10 General Industry Training @ GPTC!

Our OSHA 10-Hour General Industry class provides essential safety training for entry-level workers in manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, and retail. While federally voluntary, some employers and certain states or localities may require it for hiring or job-site access. Students will receive an OSHA-10 completion card after training.

Core topics include:
- Introduction to OSHA: worker rights, employer duties, and filing complaints
- Walking and working surfaces: preventing slips, trips, and falls
- Exit routes, emergency action plans, and fire protection
- Electrical safety: identifying and controlling hazards
- PPE: selecting and using head, face, hand, and foot protection
- Hazard Communication: reading chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets
