Happy Finals Week, Aggies!

Last week, President Shane Hunt joined SGA as a guest speaker and officially swore in your 2026–2027 elected officers!

A special congratulations to:
• President Connor Holt
• Vice President Brianna Miles
• Treasurer Ashley Smith

Their terms will offically begin on May 11th.

SGA wishes you the best of luck on your finals and a congratulations to all graduating students! 🎓

Good morning, Aggies!

Students will have the opportunity to vote on two constitutional amendments at the end of the month. The proposed amendments aim to update the amendment and ratification sections of the SGA Constitution.

Voting will run from April 27 to May 1st.

The next SGA meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. today in the Johnson Auditorium of Ross Hall.

Happy Friday, Aggies!

SGA elections for the 2026-27 academic year are right around the corner! Here are some important dates for Aggies wishing to stay informed:

• March 30 at 5:15 p.m.: Officer candidates will be announced during the SGA meeting in the Johnson Auditorium in Ross Hall.

• April 1 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: SGA will host a town hall in Johnson Auditorium for students to meet candidates, ask questions and learn more before voting. All students are welcome to attend.

• April 6 - 10: Voting will be open for SGA officers and constitutional amendments (additional information on amendments coming soon). Remember to keep an eye on your email for voting access.

• April 13 at 5:15 p.m.: Newly elected officers will be announced and sworn in during the SGA meeting.

The Student Government Association will host its first ever Town Hall at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Johnson Auditorium in Ross Hall.

All students are welcome to attend. You can ask questions, share suggestions or learn more about what SGA does. You do not have to be an SGA member to come to the town hall.

Good afternoon, Aggies! 💛

Last week’s SGA meeting was a busy one, highlighted by the confirmation of two at-large senators and votes on Resolution #126001 and two new by-laws.

Resolution #126001 calls for the establishment of a designated student section in the Aggie Gym. The resolution was authored by Brason Janoe and co-sponsored by Representatives Ashley Smith, Deshawn Sexton, Fernando Jimenez, Makenzie Baker, Mallory Cajas, and Mvnte July.

The first by-law establishes formal office hour requirements for SGA officers to ensure greater accessibility for CU students. This by-law was authored by Andrew Cervantes, Connor Holt, and Brooke Siegrist.
The second by-law establishes formal impeachment procedures for SGA members. This by-law was authored by Brooke Siegrist and Connor Holt.

All resolutions and by-laws were voted on and approved by the SGA body.

Our next SGA meeting is today at 5:15 p.m. in Johnson Auditorium. We hope to CU there! 📆
