Cameron University Music Program The Music program provides opportunities for continued musical interaction through its community performance ensembles and public concerts and recitals.

The mission of the Department of Art, Music and Theatre Arts is to support and enhance the University's educational process by offering learning opportunities in the arts to the people of Southwest Oklahoma. Cameron University's Music program possesses a very talented, highly-skilled faculty, an energetic, enthusiastic student body, and a supportive, loyal alumni and local constituents base who em

brace the university's three-fold mission of preparing graduates for effective living, for specialized fields of career endeavor and for providing community service through music. We invite you to contact us either to enroll as a music major, perform in an ensemble or take private lessons from one of our studio music professors. We also invite our alumni and friends to contact us and keep us informed of their current endeavors.

Busy weekend with 3 student recitals!
We started Saturday with Hayley Kousman and Matthew Hogg in a joint junior flute and saxophone recital, followed by Darien King‘s Senior saxophone recital. We rounded out the weekend with Victoria Moody in a senior vocal recital.
Piano accompaniment for our Saturday recitals was provided by Yiuka Little and Doris Lambert on Sunday.
Congratulations to these students and their great performances!

Scenes from our choir and band classes this week as our conducting students prepare to conduct their ensembles for tomorrow’s (4/24) combined choir and band concert!
Each piece will be conducted by a music student who took conducting this semester with our newest faculty member, Dr. Cy Miessler.
This concert will take place at the Cameron University Theatre. Doors will open at 7pm and the concert will start at 7:30. Tickets are $10.
Come out and support these students and the hard work they’ve accomplished this semester!
