HVAR students are using electrical training boards to practice wiring, identify components, and troubleshoot simulated real-world systems. These boards serve as safe learning tools that introduce artificial faults for students to diagnose. Through this process, students are learning to read schematics and translate ladder and connection diagrams into physical wire placements.

Construction students in the afternoon class are learning how to pour a concrete slab. They began by building a wooden frame to define the slab's desired size. Next, they added reinforcements, mixed the concrete, and poured it into the frame. After that, they used floats to smooth the surface and edging tools to shape the corners along the inside of the forms.

Morning and afternoon CNA students learned how to apply a gait belt by following key safety, placement, and adjustment steps. They practiced on themselves and in pairs, securely positioning the belt around their waist and their partner's waist. This involved threading the buckle and ensuring the belt was snug enough for two to four fingers to fit comfortably underneath. Finally, they positioned the clasp in front, allowing for a firm, underhand grip during transfers.

Construction students are learning about bulkheads and wall and Symons forms, which are fundamental to understanding structural concrete placement. A bulkhead is a temporary or permanent partition built inside or at the end of a wall form. Concrete wall forms are temporary structural molds designed to hold wet concrete in place and support its immense lateral (sidewalk) pressure until it cures and gains strength. Symons Steel-Ply is the industry-standard modular concrete forming system. It consists of lightweight, factory-built frames featuring high-strength steel outer edges and a durable plywood face.
