Saint Paul School of Theology is pleased to welcome two new faculty members to our learning community, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Ben Hartley joins the faculty as Professor of Methodist Studies and Mission and Dr. Aaron K. Stauffer joins as Assistant Professor of Social Ethics and Community Leadership.
🔎 Forming Theological Explorers
A historian of Methodism and World Christianity, Dr. Hartley brings a passion for Methodism, history, and uncovering the surprising stories that shape the church today.

🌍Forming Leaders for Public Witness
A scholar of social ethics, community organizing, and lived religion, Dr. Stauffer’s work explores how Christians and churches come together to enact their faith as they work for social justice. He believes this work is at the very heart of the future of congregation and of Christian formation.
