Classes are about to begin again at Cumberland University and we have an opening for a Shuttle Bus driver. The position in on campus, providing transportation for students, faculty and staff to locations on campus. This is a full time 40 hour position. Candidates must be 25 years of ager or older. Cumberland University Campus Safety and Security is presently accepting applications for a part time position, 24 to 32 hours per week, depending on the successful applicants circumstances.
We are an innovative department utilizing the latest in new equipment, such as camera systems, Polaris patrol vehicles, new cell phones and 2way radios. We continue to improve with new equipment and training programs. Benefits such as tuition and others will be discussed during the interview process. There is only ONE position available. It is with deep sorrow that we must tell you we have lost one of our own. Trooper Aaron Rumford was tragically killed in an off-duty motor vehicle crash in Nashville yesterday evening. Trooper Rumford joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol in 2015. He was assigned to the Nashville District in Wilson County, where he served until 2018, when he was selected for a position in the Executive Protection Unit. Trooper Rumford exemplified the core values of the Tennessee Highway Patrol in all aspects of his life and represented himself, his family, and the THP honorably. Please join us in keeping his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. We will share the funeral arrangements once they have been finalized, said Colonel Matt Perry.
