We are proud of our high school IT and Cybersecurity students! All are working on earning certifications.
Congratulations to Cybersecurity seniors Tim Williams, Springboro, who passed CompTIA A+ Core 2, and Ainsley Cutshall, Waynesville, who passed CompTIA A+ Core 2 exam, both earning A+ certification. Ainsley had an internship this fall at Caresource in Information Security, gaining practical experience in her career field. Our Cybersecurity students are on track for career success!

This young man is a rising senior in our high school Cybersecurity program! He will go far in the IT world!

Cybersecurity rising senior Conner Nichols checked in with Mrs. Marks this week with an update on his summer internship with Xavier University’s IT department. “I am in my first week at Xavier for my internship and I am absolutely loving my job. I’m essentially part of what they call the ‘Desktop infrastructure deployment crew’ and this summer we have a ton of equipment coming in that we have to inventory, unbox, and then flash with an OS. We connect the laptops to a docking station and then we boot into the bios and select the docking station to boot into to be able to download and install the OS through the servers. Once this unboxing and flashing OS is done we will be sent out to drop off technology to faculty who request it and then set up their workstations. We also pick up technology to be fixed at the IT workbench. I would like to say thank you for letting us use ‘test out.’ Most of the stuff that I learned in the CompTIA A+ course in test out is what I do on a daily basis when setting up these computers. Because of the labs I’m able to do some of the software setup of the computers.”
