Had a great time representing Missouri State University Outreach at the Aurora Career Day!

I had the opportunity to present to students about education as a career path and shared the impact teachers make. It almost felt like I was back in the classroom!

I also enjoyed connecting with students during the fair, answering questions, and exploring the many exciting paths ahead of them.

Thank you to Aurora High School for the invitation and for supporting students as they plan their futures!

Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Lake Region GOCAPS Capstone Night, and this week I spent time with the Tri-Lakes Area GOCAPS Showcase, and I continue to be so impressed.

The energy, professionalism, and curiosity these students bring to their learning environments is incredible. Seeing them engage with real-world experiences and take ownership of their futures is exactly what makes programs like GOCAPS so impactful. It’s clear they are developing the skills and confidence that will serve them well in whatever path they choose.

A sincere thank you to the directors and instructors at both Lake Region and Tri-Lakes for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of your programs. The dedication you show to these students does not go unnoticed, and it truly makes a difference.

I also want to give a special congratulations to one of our Missouri State Outreach instructors Mr. Bryan Campbell, who was honored at the Lake Region night with a plaque of appreciation for his many years of support. It was wonderful to see his commitment recognized, and it is well deserved!

Grateful for these partnerships and the opportunity to support such outstanding students.

So grateful I had the chance to attend this meeting for the first time. It was such a meaningful experience! I loved getting to meet and connect with others in both advising and administrative roles. So many great conversations and shared ideas.

This picture is from our morning session (great start to the day!). The afternoon focused on departmental administrators (no photo, but just as impactful.)

Feeling thankful for the opportunity to connect with such a wonderful group of people!

🌟 Supporting Future Educators, Right Here at Home 🌟

For many years, Missouri State University Outreach has proudly served our region by providing an established pathway for students to earn their Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, while staying close to home.

Through evening and community‑based classes, we’ve helped working adults, paraprofessionals, and place‑bound students achieve their goal of becoming teachers. Our graduates go on to serve local school districts and strengthen the communities they already call home.

We remain committed to expanding access, supporting our schools, and helping grow the next generation of educators right here in our region. 🍎📚

Out and about over the last couple of weeks! I really enjoyed attending the Ozarks Tech Lebanon Center Spring Picnic and the Ozarks Tech Table Rock Campus Spring Picnic. It was so nice to connect with everyone and enjoy some beautiful spring weather. 🌸A special shoutout to the Camdenton Pathways for Education classes for joining us at Lebanon, and to Bart Tibbs for making sure our Bear Gear didn't blow away in the wind!

I also participated in the Mock Job Fair at Mountain Grove, where I interviewed several students. I was genuinely impressed by their skills, confidence, and accomplishments. These students are doing amazing things, and it was a pleasure getting to meet them!

Outreach on the Road This Week!

It’s been a great week connecting with students and educators across the region!

On Tuesday, we attended the Republic College Fair, followed by a visit to Hartville High School on Wednesday, and wrapped up the week at Dixon High School on Thursday.

It’s always energizing to talk with students about their future plans and share how Outreach can help them earn a degree close to home while balancing work and life.

Thank you to each school for the warm welcome and great conversations!

What an honor it was to serve as a judge for the Lake GOCAPS Teaching Profession Sneak Peek presentations! Every project was incredibly well planned, thoughtfully executed, and confidently presented. It was truly impressive to see the level of preparation and passion these students brought to their work.

A huge shoutout to Joey Bowling for all of the hard work she puts into supporting and guiding her students. It absolutely shows in the quality of their presentations and their professionalism.

I didn’t take many pictures because I didn’t want to risk distracting or surprising any of the students mid-presentation, but trust me, the work they shared was outstanding! So proud of this group and excited to see what the future holds for them.

Great morning at the Ozarks Tech Lebanon Center!

We had an amazing turnout for our annual Counselor & Administrator Breakfast with leaders from Lebanon GOCAPS, Lebanon High School, Hillcrest Education Center, Niangua High School, Hartville High School, Stoutland High School, and Camdenton High School.

And a big shout‑out to the OTC Lebanon Center team. Thank you for being such fantastic partners and for always including me. I’m grateful for your collaboration and the work we do together for students across the region! 💛📘

✨ Great day at Session Two of Lake Region GOCAPS Teacher Externship!

The student panel was inspiring, and our industry tours at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Marine Electrical Products gave us an incredible look at the work happening right here in Lebanon.

A big thank‑you to all our community partners and a special thanks to Heritage Bank of the Ozarks for today’s presentation and to Arvest Bank supporting the Working Genius session. Your investment in teachers and students truly makes a difference!

Feeling energized and grateful for this collaboration!
