UPCOMING WEBINAR: Accommodations and Supports Through Access & Disability Services
Date: Tuesday May 26, 2020 5:00 PM EST

Did you have an IEP or a 504 Plan in high school?

So did about 20% of your peers! Dickinson values diverse types of learners and is committed to ensuring that all students are afforded equitable access to all living and learning experiences. If you have a learning difference or a disability – including a mental health, medical, or physical impairment – that may require accommodations, join us for this informational session before the May 30th disclosure deadline. Marni Jones, Dean and Director of Access and Disability Services (ADS), will explain the confidential accommodations process, and participants will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of ADS staff as well as a current student who receives accommodations. Advice from students? “Don’t wait…Learn all about ADS now!”

Introducing a new weekly feature on the ODS page—Exceptional Dickinsonian of the Week! Our team of staff and students who work for ODS are on a campaign to celebrate Dickinsonians and others with exceptionalities. We also want to help encourage students who had accommodations in high school to disclose to ODS.
Additionally, we are looking for post suggestions that would feature other exceptional Dickinsonians! We encourage any students with accommodations to contribute to our poster campaign by posting their testimonials, using Mollie's as an example. If you would like to do so anonymously, to send it to [email protected], and we will keep your name confidential.
