An overriding concern for leadership at many liberal arts institutions, including Bucknell, is how to prepare students for the inevitability of AI. “As long as you’re at Bucknell, you’re in Appalachia.”

Join us on March 27th at 2 PM in Hildreth-Mirza Hall, where Dr. David Butcher—a historian, genealogist, community advocate, and founder of the Tablertown People of Color Museum—will share stories about his community’s history, his work, and his vision for the Tablertown Museum as we wrap up what has been a wonderful Humanities Week.

This is sure to be a powerful thought provoking conversation that you’ll not want to miss.

📢 TODAY!
✴"Myths & Metaphors of AI"✴

- 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Hildreth-Mirza Hall, 101/102 - Great Room

✨Producers of the Ways of Knowing podcast, Chris Hoff and Sam Harnett present a discussion of the myths and metaphors in our contemporary discussion of ‘Artificial Intelligence’.

🤔How did AI become conflated with human intelligence, and how is this myth being used to build infrastructure, rewrite laws, and alter norms that will fundamentally change how we work, recreate, communicate …and ultimately think about what it means to be human?
