Alpha Delta Pi - University of Kentucky

Alpha Delta Pi - University of Kentucky First. Finest. Forever. Since 1851. For more than 150 years, extraordinary women have called Alpha Delta Pi home.

Originally called the “Adelphean Society,” Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women and forged the way for women in the fraternity system. Our founding took place at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia – the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. We continue to initiate progress throughout the fraternity system, being the first sorority to offer a shorte

ned new member education program. Alpha Delta Pi also builds and fosters a sisterhood of leaders. Sisters find Alpha Delta Pi a safe place to draw on their unique experiences and make their mark. We offer members the opportunity to obtain leadership experience as chapter officers as well as through sisters who are involved in various organizations on campus. Beginning with six young women and now including over 200,000 initiated members and more than 190 collegiate chapters throughout the United States and Canada, Alpha Delta Pi has expanded beyond belief while staying true to its founding ideals: scholarship, high principles of behavior and true friendships.

SISTERHOOD ROUND🪻🤍

Over the past two days, we had the sweetest opportunity to open our doors and share a glimpse into the sisterhood that means so much to us. Like the violets that represent our sisterhood, the friendships found here are rooted in loyalty, love, and genuine connection.

From the laughter filling our home to the meaningful conversations shared throughout the day, we loved getting to show you a piece of what makes this sisterhood so special. We hope you felt even a glimpse of the love that makes Alpha Delta Pi feel like home.

A letter to our PNMs, from our Vice President of Recruitment, Molly Allen 💌

“Dear Potential New Members,

As you move forward into the next round, I want to remind you to take a breath and soak in every moment. Trust the process, remain unapologetically yourself, and keep an open heart. Recruitment moves fast, but these conversations and connections are moments you will look back on for years to come.

Reflecting on my own journey as an ADPi here at the University of Kentucky, I am filled with so much gratitude for the girl who took a chance on recruitment as a freshman. Joining this chapter has brought me intentional, lifelong friendships, leadership opportunities that have shaped who I am, and a support system that lifts me up every single day. Looking back, I wish I could give my past self a hug and assure her that all of that nervous energy was leading to something truly life-changing.

From the moment I walked through the doors of Alpha Delta Pi, I felt a genuine sense of warmth and belonging. This sisterhood has surrounded me with women who push me to grow, celebrate my victories, and make this campus feel like home. As I look ahead to my senior year, I know without a doubt that ADPi has played such a meaningful role in helping me become the woman I am today.

As you prepare for the upcoming rounds, keep your head high and stay true to who you are. It is completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty as you navigate the unknown, but remember that something incredible could be waiting for you on the other side. I cannot wait to see each of you find the home away from home that empowers, supports, and inspires you.

Enjoy every moment, trust where your heart leads you, and I’ll see you at the blue door! 🩵”

That’s a wrap on Philanthropy Round! ❤️🏠

Our hearts are so full after sharing a cause that means so much to our sisterhood. We are endlessly grateful for the opportunity to support Ronald McDonald House and to share a little piece of why keeping families close is so special to us.

Thank you for spending these past two days learning about something so close to our hearts. We can’t wait for Sisterhood Round on Friday!

Family is at the heart of what we do.❤️💛

Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has been proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities and the incredible families they serve. Here at Beta Psi, that mission feels especially close to home, with RMH of the Bluegrass just one mile from our blue front door.

Whether we’re cooking dinner, baking cookies, collecting pop tabs, or simply lending a helping hand, we have the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact of serving others. RMH is so much more than our philanthropy - it is a place, a mission, and a community that our sisters hold incredibly close to our hearts.

We are endlessly grateful to call RMH of the Bluegrass our home away from home. 🏠❤️

with our Director of Facility Management Ava Prater from Lexington, KY (AC ‘25)!!

“Going through recruitment, I was so nervous and anxious about finding a chapter that I could call home. I had no idea that Alpha Delta Pi would be all that and more! Since the beginning, I was greeted by women not just overflowing with kindness, but with a genuine passion to love and serve others. To be surrounded by women who strive for better is amazing, but to be surrounded by women who push you to be better is something truly special!

From the minute I walked through that light blue door, 476 Rose Street felt like more than just a house. From every study sesh to late night movie to long talks on the side porch, the ADPi house has been a true place of fellowship. The values of our chapter are so evident in the love shared within our house, and that is what encouraged me to run for Director of Facility Management.

This position has taught me the importance of taking initiative, believing in myself, and finding pride in even the smallest details that make our house feel more like home. From facilitating facility operations and ensuring the house remains safe and maintained to overseeing resident agreements and chapter dinners, I have learned that creating a positive living environment is built on countless behind the scene efforts. Being able to help create and live in a space with two AC’s where sisters feel welcomed, supported, and loved is an honor I will cherish forever!!

Most importantly, this position has been a constant reminder of the incredible sisterhood that surrounds me. Through every challenge, late night, and accomplishment, my sisters have been my biggest source of encouragement, always believing in me and cheering me on. Their unwavering support has shaped my experience in ways I can never fully put into words. Being able to give back to the women of Beta Psi after they have all given me so much is the biggest blessing!! Serving this chapter has been far more than a position, it has been an opportunity to pour back into the community that has become my home🩵🏠”
