Today we celebrate our student Olivia "Liv" Spaulding, who will be participating in and sharing her poster on Antonin Dvořák’s symphonic poem "Noonday Witch" at the University of Kentucky Undergraduate Research Showcase TODAY, 4/30, between 1 and 2:30 pm at the Gatton Student Center. During her session (Session 1), there are only FIVE research posters related to the arts! Please consider stopping by, both to encourage Liv and support her hard work, and also to show that ARTS and RESEARCH go together!!

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support what research is: curiosity, hard work, and deep thinking combined with a boldness to present findings and argue a point of view!

✨OUT THIS FRIDAY✨The Mexican-American composer, Juan Trigos, has developed the concept of ‘abstract folklore’. This first volume of his guitar works shows the process in all its breadth, not least in the large-scale 'Twelve Variations' and 'Fugue on the Folía de España', where old-world dances meet syncopated new-world rhythms. Featuring the talented guitarist Dieter Hennings and percussionist Paul Vaillancourt.
