“I met lillie before we both went dz. she had decided to cob dz and that made me want to go dz even more. from the moment i met lillie i knew she would be one of my best friends for life. she has always been there for me though thick and thin. she is the light in every room and knows how to make anyone laugh. she has seen me at my worst and my best and still decides to be by my side through all of it. i’m so happy i get to call her my roomie for the rest of college. i don’t know what i would do without lillie she is truly one of the best people i’ve ever met. she brings out the best in me and i cant wait for so many more memories with her past college🫶” - Sami Alcure (PC ‘22)

Why DZ Wednesday 💗💚

“DZ has held such a strong place in my heart during my first semester of college. I have made so many sweet friends that have brought joy into my life far more than I ever could have imagined. In rush I meet someone that I never knew I needed and that’s my amazing DZ family. Emma and Karlie have meant the world to me and have made me laugh, smile, and are the source for so many positive memories. The second I met Emma during sisterhood round I knew DZ was my top choice because of how loved she made me feel. Recruitment was overwhelming but talking to Emma made me feel relaxed and truly at home. Then during preference round I met her little Karlie who I knew I wanted as my big, and I am so happy that she is. After rush I could never have thought that these two girls would mean so much to me, but I am so glad to have them as friends and sisters. “I think everyone knows that Laney and I were freshman year roommates turned DZ sisters, and to this day I’m still so grateful for that. I’ve never met someone quite like Laney, someone so outgoing and full of life but she is just what I needed when I came to Kentucky. I’ll never forget when she convinced me to on get a bird scooter with her (and we fell three seconds later) and walking through the McDonald’s drive through and making friends with everyone in front of us. She brings out the best in me and I can’t wait for even more memories🫶🏻” - Aubrey Gingrich (PC ‘21)

“I have never met a friend like my auby!! She is one of the best things to ever happen to me and I know that she will always be there for me whenever and wherever. She knows me better than I know myself and I cannot imagine life without her!! We were freshmen year roommates from different sides of the country that both happened go DZ, and now we live in a cute little house with our best friends we lived with in the DZ house our sophomore year.
