Delta Gamma UK

Delta Gamma UK Delta Beta | University of Kentucky | for hope, for strength, for life Delta Gamma was selected as the chapter to be brought to UK's campus.

Delta Beta was started on UK's campus in the fall of 1962 when the existing sororities on campus were unable to accommodate the number of women wishing to pledge. Delta Gamma actives and alumnae from other Delta Gamma chapters came and assisted with recruitment. Delta Beta of Delta Gamma pledged it's first group of outstanding women the following semester. Work began on our current house almost im

mediately and our current home at 450 Pennsylvania Avenue opened in 1963. The anchor can still be seen sitting in our front yard today. Since our founding on UK's campus we've received numerous awards such as the Deans cup, homecoming queen, and have had girls participate in student government as well as the equestrian team, track team, dance team, and cheerleading. Since our existence on this chapter we have been a part of nearly every student organization on campus.
