We had a great time touring the newly finished, ENORMOUS solar farm built this past fall by Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. The event was our first annual bipartisan civic engagement event, and a part of the Earth Month series. The group had dinner afterwards at the local Smithtown seafood.

This awesome group of Lexington high school students decided to get up early, despite a day off from school, to attend the Student Sustainability Leadership Academy this morning! The Academy is sponsored by the Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council and hosted here at Transy. A committee of BYSC students visioned, planned and implemented the Academy themselves. I hope some of these amazing young people decide to come to Transy after graduation!

Bluegrass Greensource supports local businesses that are working to be more sustainable with Live Green Lexington's Green Check program.

Today we had an event from The Crown Estate - together with Climate-KIC we presented the to their stakeholders. This is a shared effort with our UK partner Evergen Systems Ltd (Evergen Clean Air) 🍃

Sustainability tip of the week! Try a sustainable practice for doing laundry. Only wash your clothes when you have a full load or hang your clothes instead of putting them in the dryer.
