Kappa Kappa Gamma Beta Chi Chapter

Kappa Kappa Gamma Beta Chi Chapter We warmly welcome you to the official page of Kappa Kappa Gamma's Beta Chi Chapter at the University of Kentucky.

Our chapter represents sisterhood, friendship, and the building of a woman's character as she travels through life's journey. Along the way at Beta Chi, our sisters will grow and become respectful, hardworking, and proud young women. Each sister in our sorority is a strong member of the community at the University of Kentucky thanks to our chapter's unity, our wonderfully involved alumni, and the greek community at the University of Kentucky.

We are so blessed to welcome PC ā€˜20 to 238 E. Maxwell!
Given all of the special circumstances, we were blessed to be able to safely welcome PC ā€˜20 to their new home, and we are so excited for more memories to come.

What a whirlwind couple of weeks! It's times like this where we realize how grateful we are to have such amazing sisters, no matter where we are. We are glad that all of our in-house girls are safely moved out of the house and are continuing their education remotely.

While remote learning isn't ideal, our Beta Chi's are staying connected with plenty of Zoom calls, from Netflix dates to game nights.

Through these rough times, we know that it is hard to stay positive, but all of it will be worth it when conditions are better and we are all back together again!

Here are some highlights from Spring '20 to get us excited for more memories headed into the fall! šŸšŸ‚

For one of many Kappa Kindness Week's events, we hosted our spring philanthropy event supporting Reading Is Fundamental at Tates Creek Elementary! A big thanks to all of the girls that came to help out and support our AMAZING philanthropy. We were able to donate over $1,000 worth of books for the kids, and had fun doing it!

Dance Blue 2020!
This weekend we participated in DanceBlue; a no sleeping, no sitting, 24 hour dance marathon to support the kids of the DanceBlue Kentucky Children's Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic as well as the UK Markey Cancer Center through the DanceBlue-Golden Matrix Fund. Our girls pushed through for 24 hours, and had a blast doing it!

Last weekend, our chapter was able to participate in Chi Omega and Beta Theta Pi's Philanthropy event, Greek Sing. This event raises money every year for Make-a-Wish, and we were so happy to be able to participate for such a great cause!

Carson Greenwell, a Beta Chi sophomore, interviewed several alumni at our Founder’s Day event in October. Her article was published by Odyssey Online and several Beta Chi’s are featured!

The old saying holds true: "It's not for four years, it's for life."

We’re celebrating 150 years of Kappa! There is an incredible fundraising challenge and I know you are up for it!
A very generous Kappa is matching up to $300,000 in honor of Kappa’s upcoming Sesquicentennial anniversary!
We have 72 hours (Oct. 10–13) to raise $300,000 for the Foundation to unlock her full gift. Please share this with others (family, friends and chapters). No amount is too big or too small, please donate to the link below in the next 72 hours!
