Today, we remember and honor the courageous individuals who gave their lives in service. We are especially grateful for the Phi Gams who answered the call to serve with courage and selflessness.

Take time today to explore the Military Service Collection in the Phi Gam Archives and reflect on the lasting impact of brothers whose legacy continues far beyond their college years. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We are saddened to share that George Nelson (Texas Tech 1958) passed ad astra on May 8. George was a devoted brother whose lifelong commitment to friendship, service, and excellence left a lasting impact on countless brothers, his chapter, and the International Fraternity.

George devoted 36 years of service, including as a Purple Legionnaire, BCA member, House Corporation President and Archon Councilor. He was recognized twice with the Durrance Award, the Coulter Cup, as a Distinguished Fiji, and with the Distinguished Fiji Service Award.

You joined your chapters as students, but you leave as leaders, mentors, and lifelong brothers.

The friendships you built, the lessons you learned, and the impact you made will continue far beyond your college years.

As you begin this next chapter, remember that Phi Gamma Delta is truly Not for College Days Alone.

๐ŸŒŸ May is a month of recognition and celebration! As we honor Mental Health Awareness Month, Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and Jewish American Heritage Month, letโ€™s take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and the rich cultural contributions of these communities.

๐Ÿ’š Mental health matters for everyone, and itโ€™s crucial to foster open conversations and support one another.

๐ŸŒ This month, we celebrate the resilience and achievements of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, acknowledging their vital role in shaping our society.

โœก๏ธ We also honor the rich history and contributions of Jewish Americans, promoting understanding and unity.

ONE DAY. ALL BROTHERS. REAL IMPACT.

The gifts given so far this Giving Day can cover approximately 215 regional leadership institute registrations, giving brothers hands-on training and mentorship and provide around 86 travel stipends to eliminate financial barriers for attendance at programs like Ekklesia or Academy.

At the highest level of investment, the support given so far today could fund about 21 Courageous Leaders Scholarships, helping chapters attract and recognize high-achieving, values-driven students who strengthen the brotherhood long term.

Together, these contributions reflect a layered impact: removing barriers, expanding access, and investing in the future of the Fraternity.
