We are so proud to celebrate Mr. Scottie Cook of Alexander Central High School for being honored by Harbor Freight Tools for Schools for his outstanding work in Agricultural Mechanics education!

With over 26 years of dedication, Scottie has not only equipped his students with a plethora of skills and certifications but also inspired them to pursue vast careers in agriculture, including welding, construction, and more. From being one of the pilot groups for our project to leading his students to state-level FFA contests, he has made a monumental impact in agricultural education!

Thank you, Scottie, for your unwavering commitment to student success, hands-on learning, and building a better future for skilled trades! We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and this achievement- it is extremely well deserved!

The wait is over…our annual conference starts TODAY!

The Safe Farm Steward Annual Conference is officially underway!
We’re excited to welcome our incredible community of educators, extension agents, students, and safety advocates to join us in making farm safety a priority one.

Today kicked off with an in-depth session for post-secondary faculty focused on the Safe Farm Steward program’s purpose, impact, and application process. We explored the program’s development over the past year, dove into key research findings, and discussed future research and implementation. Attendees also learned about our certification process for Safe Farm Stewards and Advocates and reviewed best practices for completing the SFS application. We also previewed interactive tools, which bring safety education to life through virtual engagement.

With over 340 farms already part of the Safe Farm Steward network, we’re planting the seeds for even greater impact in 2025 and beyond. We are proud to be a part of a growing movement, and we are proud to have you here!
