Price Herp Lab at UK

Price Herp Lab at UK Our research focuses on the population ecology and conservation biology of vertebrates.

We're a research lab in the University of Kentucky's College of Agriculture (Forestry and Natural Resources) focused mainly on the population ecology and conservation biology of reptiles and amphibians in Kentucky. Most of our work centers on reptiles and amphibians, groups that are experiencing severe and unprecedented population declines. We are focused on several areas of research: 1) examining

the resistance and resilience of semi-aquatic reptile and amphibian populations to land-use and hydrologic change, and 2) estimation of population parameters, such as survivorship, recruitment, and temporal emigration. Additionally, we have strong interests in wildlife monitoring and management, freshwater biology, forest ecology, urban ecology, vertebrate natural history and landscape ecology.
