We aim to educate dairy producers and industry personnel, teach students who are able to enter the industry as knowledgeable professionals, and conduct research for the advancement of the industry.

Riney Dairy to Host Kentucky Dairy Field Day in Washington County

Washington County will welcome dairy producers and agricultural professionals from across Kentucky later this month as Riney Dairy hosts the 2026 Riney Dairy Field Day on Thursday, July 23, beginning at 10 a.m. near Springfield.

The event, announced by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture's Livestock Division, is being hosted by the Kentucky Dairy Development Council and will showcase one of Central Kentucky's premier dairy farming operations.

Riney Dairy is recognized as one of Washington County's largest dairy and farming operations and features modern agricultural technology, including an automated calf-feeding barn. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the dairy facilities and learn about the farm's management practices, equipment, and crop production.

Highlights of the field day include:

✔️ Tour of the dairy facilities

✔️ Automated calf-feeding barn

✔️ Corn silage demonstration plots

✔️ Sorghum silage demonstration plots

✔️ Modern farm equipment and production practices

✔️ Educational discussions on dairy management and forage production

The field day is designed to give dairy producers, industry professionals, and others involved in agriculture an opportunity to see innovative farming practices firsthand while sharing ideas and learning about new technologies that support Kentucky's dairy industry.
