Ale Perez Canedo ’26 transferred to Transylvania for the opportunity to grow as a tennis player. He found something much bigger.

Friends who pulled him out of his comfort zone. Professors who invested in him. A community that gave him room to grow — and ultimately, a place that felt like home.

And just like that, a new year at Transy is underway.

Bags were unpacked. Goodbyes were said. Orientation began. Students high-fived and fist-bumped through Greet Line, gathered for that first class photo, found their classrooms and ended the first day together at the Back to School Picnic.

It’s a lot packed into a few days. But somewhere in the middle of all of it, something starts to happen: new faces become familiar, friendships begin and a new place starts to feel a little more like home.

That’s the kind of community we want every student to find here.

To our Transy families, we’re so glad your students are with us. And to the families wondering if Transy could be the right place for their student someday, we’d love to welcome you, too.
