Big Blue Tailgating At Its Best.

Just doing a pot of chili for the last home game. Hope to see everyone at what could be our last WCN Tailgate ever, or maybe just mine.

UK has made it more and more difficult on tailgaters to enjoy themselves without increased hoops to jump through. Maybe if they put a better product on the field it'd be a little easier to take.

If this is it, we've had a great 26 year run. I have met some truly great people over those years. We've also lost some dear friends along the way, but I could write a book about all the fun we've had.

Just in case, let's get a win this weekend on the 21st anniversary of Mel's passing, and easily the saddest tailgate we ever had.

We'll be doing a shrimp boil for the UK/UF game this Saturday. Hope to see everybody out there. Next to last tailgate of the year. Come see us.

We'll have pub food for the UK/UT game Saturday. Chili dogs, brats, queso, bologna burnt ends, meatballs, etc. Looks like it'll be a cool, but nice day. Look forward to seeing everyone.

Menu for the 7:00 UK/Texas game will be Jambalaya and Gumbo. We'll be out there all day.

Menu for the UK/E. Michigan game will be pork chops, chicken, green beans w/potatoes, Mexican corn, cucumber&tomato&onion salad, among other things.

We'll be out there bright and early again with our boy Dennis in tow. Maybe with some Nords??

We'll be out there bright and early Saturday for UK/Ole Miss. Menu will be smoked/BBQ Bologna, Mississippi chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, pasta salad, chips, among other things.

We had a good turnout for the first game. Hope to see even more of you this week.

Menu for the UK/Toledo tailgate will be brunch. Gravy & biscuits, egg casserole, hashbrowns, donuts, sausage, etc.

The satellite has been paid for. Still needing donations for the canopies and stocking the trailer.

The donation thread is not working. Three very appreciated donations thus far. The satellite service to stream games will be the first thing cut. Then, who knows. Just a heads up as we inch closer to the first game.

Thanks to the three aforementioned, one of which is only an occasional tailgater.

We are 2.5 weeks away from our first tailgate and game. We put together a menu schedule for the season yesterday. I'll post it soon.

As you probably know Dennis has decided to retire from tailgating. His loss will create more work and financial burden for James and I. Since COVID and the rising price of hosting our tailgates we have lost money every single game. Now that it falls on just two of us we can't keep doing that. If we don't raise the money in advance we probably won't have satellite service this season. Unless prices went up, it cost us $125 a month to stream the games. Dennis took care of the satellite and streaming costs each season and never fully recouped his money.

We also need to replace at least one canopy, preferably two. Hopefully propane, utensils, and napkins are the only things we'll need to restock. Our grill will need to be replaced and downsized soon, but hopefully we can put that off for now.

We are going to have to ask for donations to take care of the aforementioned costs. Donations for food will still be taken at the individual tailgates. Food is a separate week to week issue. As long as it falls on two of us to restock, repair, and purchase necessities, we will have to ask for these donations. The tailgates are a lot of work, preparation, and costs.

18 hours and no sleep later we secured our spot. Same as last year. Off to bed for a while. James and I had a good time hanging out and we're happy to get our spot back. Go Cats!!
