WJC Physics Department William Jewell College Physics Department degree. Students completing an engineering degree also receive a Physics B.A.

The Professional Physics Track prepares students for Graduate School in Physics or Engineering following completion of the Physics B.A. The Engineering Track prepares students for the final two years in Engineering School following 3-4 years of study at Jewell. The Pre-Professional Track prepares students for Medical, Dental, Optometry, or other Professional Schools following completion of the Phy

sics B.A. The High School Teaching Track prepares students for high school teaching following completion of the Physics Education B.A. The Technical Employment Track prepares students for careers in highly technical fields (including business), following completion of the Science and Technology Management B.A. Also, graduates may elect to pursue degrees in law or MBA's.

Join us this Thursday, September 17 @ 4pm in the Physics Lounge for a student research presentation by Graham Chambers-Wall! He'll be presenting research from his summer REU at the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) through the department of energy at Fermilab. His project is titled "Charge response and energy calibration of ProtoDUNE-SP"

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good start to the year and are ready to get going with the Society of Physics Students! We’ve got two events this week.

Thursday at 2:45pm: The Physics Minute - 1 minute of physics and 15 minutes of ice cream (these will be biweekly now instead of every week - come supplement your coffee intake with some coffee ice cream :) )

Friday at Jewell Time (10:15am): Catherine Dema is going to give a talk about her research experience at Cornell this summer!
