HCC Spring 2026 Commencement will be hosted on Friday, May 15th at the Grossinger Motors Arena in downtown Bloomington, Illinois. Commencement will begin promptly at 5:00pm. 🎓

If you selected to pick up your Cap & Gown in Lincoln, you can pick up your materials during the folowing dates and times:

Monday, May 11: 8am-8pm
Tuesday, May 12: 8am-8pm
Wednesday, May 13: 8am-8pm
Thursday, May 14: 8am-8pm

Graduates have also been sent an invitation for a local Graduation Celebration on May 12. Please check your HCC email for more information and to RSVP!

Congratulations Dr. Cornille - so very well deserved.

Heartland's own Dr. Keith Cornille has been honored with the 2026 Community Servant Leadership Award.

While we know him as our President, he is also a dedicated volunteer and board member for numerous local organizations-from the Chamber of Commerce to Home Sweet Home Ministries.

This award from the Multicultural Leadership Program (MCLP) recognizes leaders who go above and beyond to serve others.

We are grateful to have a leader who doesn't just guide our institution but actively works to support our entire region!

Welding classes start in August! 🔥

Students can earn their Gas Metal Arc Welding Certificate right here in Lincoln! Fall classes will meet evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 8:50pm.

There are two easy steps to enroll:

HVAC classes start in August! 🔧❄️🌡️

Students can earn their HVAC-R Installer in just 16-weeks, all right here in Lincoln! Fall classes will meet evenings on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 8:50pm. Online classes are also required as part of the certificate.
