The TAPP team is excited to welcome international scholar Caroline Villiger to the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools!

Dr. Villiger leads the "Family–Education–School” research program at the University of Teacher Education in Bern, Switzerland (Pädagogische Hochschule PHBern). During her visit to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she will study the Teachers and Parents as Partners intervention.

We look forward to gaining insights from her work in Switzerland, as well as sharing what we've learned works best to support school-age children in the U.S. who are struggling with a variety of behavioral, social and academic challenges.

At this week's Badar-Kauffman Conference at Kent State University, TAPP researchers HyeonJin Yoon (UNL), Amanda Witte (UNL) and Pam Mims (ETSU) presented, "Tele-TAPP in Appalachia: Improving Rural Student Behavioral Outcomes."

Preliminary findings show Tele-TAPP improves student adaptive skills and strengthens parent-teacher relationships.

The tool helps district and school leaders, educators and advocates find evidence-based programs that strengthen family-school partnerships and improve student outcomes.
