Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department The official page for the Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department. NWU houses three major stages and the region’s largest costume and prop libraries.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department presents more than 40 productions each year, including 10-14 main stage shows including 3-4 musicals. These shows give our students opportunities to act, sing, direct, design and work in many genres. Opportunities begin immediately at NWU. First year students are onstage by the end of their first semester. Many begin directing as sophomores. Most

theatre majors work at least six shows per year. Nebraska Wesleyan graduates succeed in professional theatre. Last year, 90% of the Theatre Department’s graduates found theatrical work on and behind major stages from Los Angeles to London, as well as in touring productions, film and TV. 2026–2027 Nebraska Wesleyan Theatre Season!  

Tickets for all of our productions are officially on sale — grab yours through the ticket link in our bio. You can also purchase an All Musicals Pass or All Plays Pass for a discounted rate if you plan to join us for the full season. Seniors and students receive additional discounted pricing as well.
