Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department The Official page for the Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department. Opportunities begin immediately at NWU. Many begin directing as sophomores.

The Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department presents more than 40 productions each year, including 10-14 main stage shows including 3-4 musicals. These shows give our students opportunities to act, sing, direct, design and work in many genres. NWU houses three major stages and the region’s largest costume and prop libraries. First year students are onstage by the end of their first semeste

r. Most theatre majors work at least six shows per year. Nebraska Wesleyan graduates succeed in professional theatre. Last year, 90% of the Theatre Department’s graduates found theatrical work on and behind major stages from Los Angeles to London, as well as in touring productions, film and TV.
