Important information for UNL students who are currently using Veterans Affairs (VA) Education Benefits:
If you are currently making the decision on whether to take a summer course and will be using VA Education Benefits, please see below:
• The way a course is enrolled has an effect on how the VA will pay for the course and also has an effect on how much money the student will receive from the VA.
• If the current catalog already has a course listed as being enrolled as on campus, but now the course has been changed to be enrolled as an online course there might be an impact on their VA benefits.
• Some VA connected students could possibly receive 1/2 of their educational benefit and other student’s could receive no educational benefits at all, depending on how they are certified with the VA.
Yes, enrolled in an on campus course can be delivered via internet. This delivery will not impact their benefit.
If you have any questions about the information shared above or any VA Educational Benefits, please contact Deb Quinn, UNL VA Clerk, at [email protected].
