Wayne America is out there changing financial futures and instilling healthy habits for life!

Congrats to our State Nebraska Bank & Trust Blue Devil Branch students for a great job saving! 🌟

With weekly deposits at the in-school bank, students at Wayne Elementary and the Early Learning Center made big savings:

🔷 $8,800 this school year
🔷 $55,000 since the program's start in 2019

The goal is to help young people become lifelong savers. With weekly opportunities to deposit money into an account at school, these young students are building regular saving habits. 👏

We can't wait to see you again this fall when the State Nebraska Bank & Trust Blue Devil Branch reopens at school! 🥰

It is a top 5 day in NCEE when we get to announce the In-School Savings Program totals for the year! With 89 programs reporting...here they are!

7,852 students made deposits across Nebraska in 2025-2026.
Those students SAVED $490,105...averaging $62.42 per student.

We all know that compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world...so if you started at 10 years old...and saved $62.42 a month...at 8% interest you would have over $635,000!!!!!!

Seeing financial institutions, schools, teachers, students, and everyone else in-between step up to preserve the future of Nebraska is a beautiful thing!

What happens when you win Nebraska's Finance Challenge? You get the trip of a lifetime to represent our state! The amazing ladies of "Scarlet and Cream Financial Services" took the ATL by storm! These ladies made it past the first round and earned a top 10 spot nationally! That is right, Nebraska is home to 4 of the BEST high school financial minds in the COUNTRY! Led by Nebraska Economic Educator of the Year and Admiral of the Great Nebraska Navy, Tanner Ellis, these ladies from Ravenna Public Schools truly proved they are among the best!

Ladies, you truly are your greatest asset! Thank you for representing The Good Life with pride!
