Congratulations to Bryan College of Health Sciences alumni Ashtin Schlisner on receiving the Green Cape Award!

Ashtin was recognized for going above and beyond during a challenging organ donor case. Through her skill, persistence and expertise in echocardiography, she was able to obtain the critical images needed for transplant centers to evaluate the donor heart, helping give a recipient a lifesaving heart transplant and a renewed chance at life.

Her impact didn’t stop there. Ashtin’s dedication also sparked further education surrounding the donation and transplant process and the important role echocardiography can play in organ placement.

We’re proud to celebrate Ashtin and the incredible difference she is making through her work. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Our Community Health Nursing students recently participated in the One Stop Cancer Shop alongside nine UNMC nursing students. Together, they gained valuable hands-on experience while connecting community members with important cancer resources and support.

Our Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice students recently attended the 2026 AANA Annual Congress in Boston, the largest national conference for nurse anesthesiology professionals. From continuing education and professional development to networking and learning about the latest advances in anesthesia practice, the experience provided valuable insights that will help shape the future of their careers. We're proud of our students for taking advantage of this incredible opportunity to learn, connect, and grow as future leaders in healthcare.

We had a blast Sunday night at our second annual Big Blue Baloo!

New Student Orientation was a success!

Last Thursday and Friday, students had the chance to meet their classmates, make new connections, learn more about student life at Bryan College of Health Sciences and prepare for the semester!
