We are the 22nd chapter of Delta Phi Lambda at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Delta Phi Lambda aims to spread Asian awareness and promote strong, independent women leaders.

This past weekend, our sisters attended the Delta Phi Lambda 25th Annual National Convention, “Together, Our Stories Grow,” in Flushing, NY! These days were filled with bonding and learning opportunities that aim to strengthen our sisters as leaders. We also had an exciting time exploring New York City with other chapters!

We have seen them grow immensely within our chapter, and we are grateful for all their contributions. The sisters of Delta Phi Lambda would like to recognize Osteoporosis Awareness Month! With our national philanthropy being Osteoporosis Awareness & Prevention, the month of May is special to us in raising awareness and educating others about this bone disease. Osteoporosis is a chronic disease that affects the bones, making them weak and brittle. This disease primarily affects women, especially women of Asian descent. To prevent osteoporosis, you can exercise regularly, maintain a healthy sleep schedule, and consume nutrient-dense foods such as dairy, leafy greens, and fish!

Osteoporosis is also known as the “silent disease” due to bones becoming weak and brittle without early symptoms, and is often detected late or even undetected. Remember to strive to live a healthier lifestyle to prevent osteoporosis as well as other diseases! 🦴🤍

The Upsilon Chapter of Delta Phi Lambda is proud to announce the recipient of our 5th Annual First-Generation Student Scholarship! We sincerely thank every student who took the time to share their story with us. Each application reflected meaningful experiences, and we are confident that your passion and determination will continue to guide you toward success.

We would like to give a big congratulations to 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿!

This scholarship is especially meaningful to our chapter, as several of our sisters are first-generation students themselves. Through our local philanthropy of supporting first-generation students, we are committed to encouraging and empowering students in their journeys of academic and collegiate success. Our chapter is honored to provide financial support to a deserving scholar and share our dedication to Academic Excellence with the community!

I will be attending UNMC College of Dentistry in the fall! I also plan on taking some time to travel with my family and friends before I start school again!

DPhiL has truly given me so many memories that I’ll keep with me forever! To pick a few, my most favorite memories have been revealing with Eta Class, serving on the executive board, and spending time with my lineage! I’ve met some of my best friends during my time within the sorority that I’ll be forever grateful for!

After graduation, I plan to continue my education by pursuing a second undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of Kansas School of Business to expand my knowledge in business and financial strategy.
