The strongest voices for NSEA aren’t ads or emails — they’re our members. During Just One, reach out to one educator you work with who hasn’t joined yet and let them know why membership matters to you. Sometimes, it only takes one conversation to bring someone in.

Adam Schwaninger's journey proves you don't need a traditional tech background to teach computer science—you need creativity, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to access.

His take? The best CS teachers often come from unexpected places. Art, design thinking, and interdisciplinary approaches can actually be advantages in the classroom.

Big thanks to CS4NE and UNL's programs for supporting educators making these pivots and expanding CS education across Nebraska.

Considering a move into CS education? Adam's story shows it's possible—and transformative.

🤖 Ready to teach about AI this year, but don't know where to start?

Guy Trainin from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln just dropped the roadmap every educator needs.

In the latest "AI in the Classroom" podcast, he breaks down four practical ways to get AI-ready without the overwhelm.

The reality check: "There are very few experts about AI right now. We're all wandering somewhat in the dark."

But that doesn't mean we avoid it. As educators, we need to speak from experience – not just media narratives.

Why this matters: Students are encountering AI whether we teach about it or not. Better to guide them with knowledge than leave them to figure it out alone.

Ready to move beyond the "AI will save us" vs "AI will destroy us" headlines?

🎧 Listen to the full episode for step-by-step guidance that respects both your time constraints and your students' safety.

What's your biggest concern about integrating AI literacy in your classroom? Let's discuss in the comments. 👇

🎓 Essential listening for educators: Professor Guy Trainin discusses why teaching students about AI is no longer optional—it's imperative.
This insightful podcast episode explores three critical reasons why AI literacy must be integrated into our educational frameworks:

Civic Preparation: AI touches everything in society—students need formal opportunities to understand and discuss these transformations
Workforce Readiness: Future careers will require understanding AI's capabilities, limitations, and ethical applications
Current Reality: Students already access AI tools—we must guide them toward responsible usage

The distinction between teaching about AI versus teaching with AI offers educators a practical entry point for addressing this essential literacy.

🧠 Fascinating discussion on our latest "AI in the Classroom" podcast!
Remember when we worried that AI would strain our planet's energy resources? The conversation has shifted. Williams and Professor Guy Trainin from UNL break down how AI costs have dropped dramatically—from $50 per million tokens to just fractions of a dollar.
What does this mean? AI is becoming accessible to everyone, everywhere—from students in Nebraska to learners across the globe. While we should remain mindful of energy consumption, the environmental concerns that once limited AI adoption are rapidly diminishing.
This isn't just about technology getting cheaper—it's about educational opportunity becoming more equitable. When cost barriers disappear, learning opportunities expand exponentially.
Worth a listen if you're interested in how technology is reshaping education! 🎧
