Lincolnton, NC – On May 26, 2024 the LCSO Lake Patrol were patrolling the waters of Lake Norman near Lakeshore Road, South when they received a call reference a possible drowning.
Officers arrived on the scene and discovered a female attempting to hold the head of the 39 year old victim above the water. Deputies docked their vessel nearby and ran to assist the man and woman in the lake. The Lake Patrol officers were able to place a life vest on the victim then lifted him from the water onto the dock. They walked the man to a nearby table. The scene was turned over to Lincoln County EMS and Denver Fire to care for the victim.
The victim was transported to Novant Huntersville for treatment. Lake Patrol officers Deputy L. Leonard and Sgt. J. Isaaks were the responding officers.
